All fees are quoted in U.S. Dollars (USD) and are charged on a per passenger, per ticket basis unless otherwise stated. Our fees are non-refundable once a service has been initiated or completed.

2. Why Post Ticketing Service Fees Apply

When passengers require assistance after their ticket has been issued, a significant amount of skilled labor, specialized knowledge, and coordination is involved. Our team of service executives works directly with airline systems, reservation departments, and operational teams to fulfill these requests. The following circumstances necessitate our post-ticketing services:

  • Processing cancellation requests in compliance with airline fare rules and policies
  • Requesting and tracking refunds or future travel credits from airlines

  • Our service fees are in addition to any fees, penalties, or fare differences charged by the airline. The total cost to the passenger will include both Travelocompare.net service fees and applicable airline-imposed charges.
  • Our service fees are non-refundable. Once our executives initiate a request on your behalf, the service fee applies even if the airline denies the request.
  • Special service fees (waivers) may be refunded only if the airline declines the request outright before any processing takes place.
  • All refunds and future credits issued by airlines are subject to the individual airline's fare rules, policies, and processing timelines. Travelocompare.net does not control or guarantee the outcome of airline-side requests.
  • Government-imposed taxes and fees originally collected at the time of booking may be refundable in certain circumstances, subject to airline and regulatory policy.
  • Most economy class airline tickets are non-refundable. Our service executives can only process a refund or cancellation if the applicable fare rules permit it and you have not been classified as a no-show by the airline.
  • All amounts quoted are in U.S. Dollars (USD).

4. Cancellation Service Fees

Cancellation requests must be submitted to our service team directly. The following fee schedule applies based on the timing of the request relative to the original booking date, the cabin class, and the type of resolution sought (future credit vs. monetary refund).

4.1 Cancellation Within 24 Hours of Booking

For cancellations requested within 24 hours of the original booking, the following service fees apply. Please note that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) 24-hour rule may entitle passengers to a full refund of the base fare from the airline on certain ticket types; however, Travelocompare.net's service fee is non-refundable.

4.3 Cancellation Beyond 24 Hours of Booking - Cash Refund

For cancellations beyond 24 hours from booking where the passenger seeks a monetary (cash) refund to the original form of payment, the following service fees apply. These requests involve more extensive processing and coordination with airline refund departments, which is reflected in the higher fee structure:

5. Changes to Existing Tickets

Changes to existing tickets include modifications to travel dates, departure or arrival airports, routing, passenger details (where permitted), or cabin class. All change requests are subject to the applicable airline's fare rules, and fare difference charges may apply in addition to the service fees below.

Our service executives will assess the feasibility of any requested change, communicate the airline's applicable fees and fare differences, and execute the change upon your confirmation. The service fee is charged regardless of whether a fare difference applies.

The following conditions apply to all ticket change requests:

  • Fare differences (if any) between the original ticket and the new itinerary are payable in addition to the service fee.

  • Changes requested within 10 days of the new travel date are treated as urgent requests and carry a higher service fee due to prioritized handling.
  • Name corrections (up to 3 characters) may be handled under special services. Full name changes are subject to airline policy and may require ticket reissuance.

6. Special Services (Waiver Requests)

Special services involve requesting formal waivers from airlines for exceptional circumstances that may otherwise preclude a cancellation, refund, or change under standard fare rules. These are submitted as compassionate or extraordinary circumstance appeals and are entirely at the discretion of the airline.

  • Visa Issues - Denial or delay of a required travel visa, supported by official documentation from the issuing authority.

  • The amount posted to your credit or debit card statement will reflect the final amount displayed at checkout or quoted by our service executive.
  • Travelocompare.net reserves the right to amend its service fee schedule at any time without prior notice. The fee schedule in effect on the date of the service request will apply.
  • All airline refunds and future travel credits are subject to the issuing airline's policies, processing timelines, and fare rules. Travelocompare.net does not guarantee refund amounts, timelines, or approvals.
  • In cases where the airline initiates a schedule change, cancellation, or irregular operation, different policies may apply. Please contact us for assistance.
